#11 - Smocks at the doctors office

I hate having to change into those smocks at the doctors office. You know, the paper ones that don't cover much. Let's be honest, those garments are definitely not designed with the fat chick in mind! I just had a doctor's appointment today and I had to wear one said smock. I had to wear it open in the front, and of course, it didn't close. So there I am, flappin' in the breeze (sorry, not a pleasant thought), belly hanging out, thinking "how humiliating!". I'm sure no one enjoys donning paper attire, but it's really miserable for heavy people because they just don't fit us. I'm sure there are larger paper smocks for the, um, gravity challenged, but no one seems to look for them when I come to visit the doctor. Oh well, yet another motivation to lose weight, right?

I had an awesome week - last week. I ended up losing 2.2 pounds! Yeah! This week is not so good though. I had some really salty, bad foods (pizza, Thai, Chinese), and I'm totally bloating up this week. My scale shows me up 4 pounds! I don't know if it's "real" weight or "water" weight. But I'm totally scared to weigh in on Saturday. I guess I need to focus on fruits and veggies and tons of water if I don't want a gain this week. And if I do - c'est la vie - there's always next week!

holy crap, I am LMAO at your comments about the smocks. Those things are terrible! I am actually reminded of staying over at a friend's house when I was young, and when I went to use the shower I was given a towel that was closer in size to a dish towel than a bath towel...I was fairly chunky at the time and was totally horrified...

I know exactly what you mean about the smocks! 2 weeks ago I had to urgent care because of an anxiety attack and I had to change into a fabric one (thank God it wasn't paper!) for the EKG. My husband was in there and the poor guy... I was so embarrased!
