#8 - Exhausted!

I really hate feeling tired all the time. I lost 65 pounds two years ago (and gained it all back last year!). When I was thinner I had SO much energy. Now I get tired doing little things. I've always gone to bed early, but lately I hit the sack aroung 8:30pm. I feel like a little kid with an early bedtime! Carting around an excess 140+ pounds is exhausting, and I end up sleeping a lot. I'm also getting over a major illness (I had meningitis) which is definitely playing a role in my tiredness, but the weight is also a huge (no pun intended) factor.

The past week has been pretty good. I worked out 4 times - yeah! - but I've gone over my points budget everyday and, of course, used up all my flex points. I figured I need an extra 35 flex points to break even - ouch! Anyway, I hope all my workouts help for weigh-in this morning! I lost 5 pounds last week, I just hope to lose something this week.

Lost 1.2 pounds. Good, but was hoping for more. It was sad, because Sat night I was sick, sitting on the toilet, thinking "why couldn't I have weighed in tomorrow". Isn't that SAD! Anyway, I was feeling better, then yesterday I decided to try some fake sausage (some soy thing). It was gross, wouldn't get it again. But a couple hours later, was feeling really weird, I couldn't catch my breath and my heart started really racing. I was a little worried, but kind of brushed it off. Then we decided to go see a movie, Brokeback Mountain, then it started happening again. After the movie I told my mom she should take me to the ER. I was freakin'. I just couldn't catch my breath, like asthma or something. Anyway longstory short, they think I had an allergic reaction to the soy product. Weird, huh? By last night I felt fine. They did a lot of tests, no heart problem, no asthma, blood tests ok. They said I seemed super healthy, so it must have been an allergy. Freaky!

You should have seen kat in the theater... she reacted the same way!

Seriously, though. I'm glad that you're feeling better.
